The National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC) is the largest US network of diverse-owned alternative investment firms, including private equity and hedge fund managers.

NAIC serves as a trade association for its members, assisting in the syndication of deals, publishing research, and connecting members with institutional investors.

The NAIC uses education, advocacy and events to increase the flow of capital to diverse investment managers.

It also produces research on the performance of diverse managers.

Its 185 member firms represent $380 billion in AUM.

Membership for managers ranges from $5,000 - 25,000 depending on AUM. Other firms can join as affiliates for $7,500 - 15,000 depending on type.
