The Global Private Capital Association (GPCA) is a non-profit, independent membership organization representing private capital managers and investors in Asia, Latin America, Africa, Central & Eastern Europe and the Middle East.

Members are fund and institutional investors including private equity, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, real assets, pension plans and sovereign wealth funds.

GPCA has 300 member firms in 60 countries, managing a total of USD2t in assets.

GPCA promotes the benefits of private equity globally. As part of this, it generates proprietary data, intelligence and deal cases, including the GPC Analytics database.

It also holds conferences, events and educational sessions globally.

The GPCA was founded in 2004 as the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA). Its sister organization is the Association for Private Capital Investment in Latin America (LAVCA).
